How to change wireframe color

All Replies

To change the wireframe color of an object in 3ds Max, you can do it easily using the object’s properties or through the layer manager. Method 1: Change Object Wireframe Color (Directly) Select the object whose wireframe color you want to change. Look at the top toolbar or command panel (right side). Click the color swatch next to the object name. This is the wireframe color — not the material. Choose a new color and click OK. This will change the color of the object’s edges (in wireframe or shaded + edged modes). Method 2: Change Layer Color (for Multiple Objects) If the object is part of a layer, it may be using the layer color instead. Open the Layer Explorer: Go to Tools → Layer Explorer or press F10. Find the layer your object is in. Click the color box next to the layer name. Choose a new color and confirm. If the object is set to "By Layer", it will now use the new layer color.
